But from what I've seen you get the most damage per shot from the sniper version, which has to charge up which takes about 4 seconds.. Within that time I got six cranks down on my musket which does over 300 damage in a single shot.. Am I missing something about the laser rifle, or doing something wrong? No ..

Pistols suck.. I just did a semi-auto pistol-only playthrough.. Not much fun, really.. The 10mm is decent gun early on, and the alien blaster is fine (would be better if you didn't need 4 science to keep using it).. But for most of the game, your options are laser pistol

I decided to hop into 3ds max and pump out this little bundle of joy so that I could have nice practical looking laser rifles.. This mod replaces the vanilla mesh for the laser rifle barrel..
